As an accomplished marketer of consumer services, especially in the wireless telecommunications industry, Mike's spent more than 10 years building and leading effective cross-functional work groups creating a positive impact on the strategic aspects of retail distribution, project and product management.

Before joining Vanguard as our general manager, he was senior director at AT&T Wireless Services and prior to that product marketing manager at McCaw Cellular Communications. Mike's been particularly successful in environments that exhibit a high rate of change and practice methods of empowerment.

He received a B.A. from Villanova University.

Rodney joined Vanguard in July of 2010, and brought with him a wealth of accounting and team building acumen. He believes deeply in business and financial education for all employees. Rodney is passionate about lifting up his team through leadership, respect and professional example. In turn, each individual has the tools and training they need to actively participate in the financial performance of the business.

Prior to joining Vanguard, he held the CFO post with SSG Software. Rodney holds an MBA in Operational Financial Management and a BA in Business Management Accounting.

Jim oversees all invoicing of sales orders and ensures proper payment of accounts payable invoices as well as the posting of cash receipts and reconciling all general ledger accounts.

He provides the management team with financial reports for planning, goal setting, and budgeting purposes. Jim is also responsible for in-house IT systems and functions.

Jim has a BBA in accounting from the University of Hawaii.

Pat directs our sales strategies, new business development programs and our international distributorship channels. He is a senior level sales executive with over 18 years experience providing businesses with customized solutions and consulting services.

Prior to Vanguard, Pat worked in sales operations and leadership roles for several industry leaders like IBM and Keane, Inc. in Connecticut, Wisconsin, Florida, and New York.

He holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania.

Jack has spent over 20 years in the point-of-sale fixture industry as head of engineering and product development. His innovations have resulted in several patents. In 1985, he designed the first battery-powered, shelf mounted, point-of-sale, market research computer to evaluate consumer preferences and attitudes.

Jack has gained extensive knowledge and experience in retail marketing techniques and in-store fixture design from working with some of the world’s most prestigious retailers. He continues to be the backbone (the innovation) behind Vanguard’s market position -- Innovation in Loss Prevention.

Jack is a graduate of Auburn University with a degree in electrical engineering focusing on microelectronics, integrated circuit design, microprocessor hardware design, and software development.

Dennis joined Vanguard in August of 2010, and brings with him over 20 years experience in product development and engineering management.

He has an exemplary background in mechanical and electrical engineering, as well as process management and team leadership.

Dennis manages the day to day activities of our Engineering department. Dennis is a degreed Mechanical Engineer with a minor in Electronic Theory.

Since 2004 John has overseen our warehouse operation and inventory management program. He is currently responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operation of our shipping, receiving, inventory management, production scheduling, and purchasing.

John has developed solid relationships with the right import brokers and freight forwarders in addition to refining our domestic shipping strategies through negotiations with UPS package delivery and FedEx Freight LTL. His efforts have helped to control shipping costs while shortening lead times to better service our valued customers.

Mari Howe
Operations Manager

Mari currently manages the day to day warehouse and shipping functions at Vanguard.

She has been with the company through many of our early growth years. During this time, Mari developed acute organizational, administrative, and accounting skills, all of which have contributed tremendously to our success.

Mari studied foreign languages at Illinois State University.

Carla Myers
Customer Care Manager

Carla joined Vanguard in January 2011 and currenlty manages the day-to-day functions of our customer care department.

She brings with her an extensive background of managing various customer service departments, both telephonic and customer facing. Her experience in building and leading successful teams is based on a customer-focused approach.

Further, she has been instrumental in developing and implementing quality monitoring programs, in which the departments received notice and praise for delivery service excellence.

Bill Cunha
National Sales Manager

Bill brings to Vanguard over 30 years of experience in sales and sales management. 

He has spent the last 10 years managing national accounts and directing sales teams in consumer product goods and brings a wealth of sales and marketing experience to the business.

Bill received his B.S. in Business Administration and marketing from The University of Rhode Island.
