This position is responsible for the creation and management of end-to-end marketing initiatives in support of stated sales and revenue goals.  The Marketing Manager will work with the General Manager to define marketing initiatives, tactics and also be responsible for analyzing the effectiveness of the marketing campaigns post implementation.

Duties

The following are duties and responsibilities for the position.  Other duties or functions may be performed as assigned.

• Maintain a graphic standard for all VPG correspondence and imagery as it would appear in paper based and electronic formats
• Create and maintain marketing communications program including the development of sales support materials to be made readily available for sales staff.  Program includes the development and maintenance of customer facing documentation including the product and installation guides
• Maintain a competitive analysis program
• Introduce and maintain a product management program defining the product life cycle including the identification of life cycle stages and support each product as required at the respective stage
• Support the creative development and on-going evolution of the VPG web site including SEO and SEM initiatives
• Provide support to Customer Care training needs with an emphasis on new product information.
• Develop and maintain accurate and comprehensive electronic files within the construct of the VPG archival methodology
• Ability to demonstrate cross-functional cooperation and support is crucial to the success of this position
• Provide regularly scheduled reviews of all marketing programs with emphasis on ROI
• Participate in the development of annual marketing budget
• Supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and drive successful employee(s)

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have the following knowledge and skills:

• Proficiency in various MS Office programs required (Word, Excel, Power Point). Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is desired. Applicant should possess a working knowledge at time of hire with willingness to advance skills through formal classroom and/or self-study programs
• Exceptional interpersonal skills allowing for rapid production of clear, concise written and verbal communication targeted for both internal groups and external groups
• Competency in methods of web site development and maintenance with demonstrable proof of success
• Skills with SEO and SEM techniques
• Talent with Google Analytics for the purpose of creating monthly performance reports
• Proficient knowledge of salesforce.com required
• Experience with using e-mail services as a communication tool

 Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university is preferred.  Supervisory background with the ability to prioritize and delegate is required.
